Almost time to completely say goodbye to those big heavy coats! Spring time is closer than you think. If you’re still at the transition point because of your local weather, don’t worry this article is for you too!
Floral prints are probably a uniform basic look for the spring time, but this print style doesn’t have to be boring, you can simply own the look by being creative. For example, today I wore a simple cotton light floral printed skirt and styled it with fun accessories to make the print fit my style. A simple floral skirt is not so simple to style because you need to be aware of how busy it can make your entire look seem. However, to make the skirt a bit more upbeat I worked with a belt that had two buckles (you can go with three) instead of one because it gives the accessory and skirt a balance. For my top selection I went with a solid light grey t-shirt, so that it wouldn’t interfere with what the priority selection of the outfit was (the floral skirt). Another accessory I added to my look was a black floppy hat as a counterbalance not only with the belt but also with my choice of shoes. For this look, wearing any type of shoes will never be a problem, unless of course you go with gladiator sandals ( in the season mood for those at all).
For those who are not yet in the spring mood, you can upgrade this entire look by wearing a fluffy jacket just placed on your shoulders. If open toed open toed shoes are a big no during your current weather, you can always wear neutral colored socks with them (no white socks). For example, for this look I would go with a very light red short stocking.
