The FashionGGW team had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Gabriela Albo, a tremendously creative musical artist. She made her La Voz México debut in 2017 where she was first coached by Italian Singer-Songwriter Laura Pausini and was later coached by Latin Singer Maluma. At a young age, Gaby was interested in anything but the spotlight. It was at the age of 13 that she realized she belonged on stage as a performer. Her voice is one of a kind and the performance she puts on stage is simply like no other. We have met so many iconic artists and we are confident to say that Gaby's creativity and talent will take her to the top of the charts. Below you will find our interview with Gaby Albo were she tells us more about her passion for music.
1) Where are you originally from?
"I am originally from Mexico City."
2) How old were you when your passion for music began?
I was an extremely shy child. I loved sports, school, and anything that didn't really have to do with the artistic world. However, when I was 13 years old my friend invited me to join a musical theatre summer camp, I was quite hesitant, but I agreed. At the beginning, I would walk out of the classes, but in the end, I noticed that it was making me a more confident and social person so I decided to stay for their regular classes. One day I was singing at the hair salon and the hairdresser came to me to say that I was a really bad singer. However, the hairdresser also said that she had a friend that was a voice instructor and that I should go and check it out. That actually changed my life!
3) For what I know you love musicals, which is your favorite and why?
I love West Side Story because it was the first show I was a cast member on based in México. I love the music, the message, the story, and that I got to visit a lot of places while being a performer on it.
4) When did you become fond of Broadway theatre?
Life has little by little taken me on that route, but my passion grew when I studied musical theatre in New York City.
5) Who is your favorite musical inspiration?
I love Liza Minelli, Barbara Streisand, and Michael Buble.
6) If you could open for any artist on tour right now - who would it be?
7) A musician has the best fashion sense. Tell us about your personal style.
I used to dress in sporty clothes all the time. So, now that I made this my career I had to make some adjustments (haha) and pick nicer things to match each situation. My style depends on either me attending a premier, performing at a concert, or really for any other event I attend.
8) How would you describe your character on stage?
I think that I transform myself on stage to a more powerful woman.
9) What is one goal you would like to achieve this 2018?
I would like to have songs of my own this year. I would also like to keep uploading material so that more people can listen to what I do.

"During her performance as a semifinalist on La Voz México, she reminded me of Madonna during one of her concerts because the ability and creativity Gaby has on stage is a true performance! I'm looking forward to seeing Gaby on Broadway soon! The FashionGGW team and I wish her the best on her projects." -Yvanna
